So You Just Received Your Hydra - Now What?
STEP 1 - Prep the Ties
Every Hydra pod ships with two zip ties - you can use them to mount your pod to any square rail.
Start by threading the provided zip ties through the holes at the top of the Hydra. They will glide through the channel and out out of the holes at the back of the unit, just above the switches.
STEP 2 - Place the Pod
Find the spot where you want to mount your Hydra. Make sure the crest of the unit (The raise section behind the blue LED light) sits flush against the front of the rail.
You can tighten your zip ties loosely to help hold the Hydra against the rail. Make sure you like the location before you move on. And if you don't... well... you just cut it off and use new zip ties ;)
STEP 3 - Tighten your zip ties
Once you like your spot - tighten the ties. Cut off the ends for a clean, finished look!
STEP 4 - Connect Your Power
Once your light is mounted tightly - connect your unit to power. We include a 2.1mm x 5.5mm connector with every light. You can simply your connection by purchasing a power pack (we have one linked in our products page) OR you can make your own connection by cutting off the connector* and wiring it directly to your boat's 12 V system.
*Any modifications made directly to the light unit or power connector are performed at the user's own risk. Hellfire Catfishing shall not be held responsible for any issues, failures, or damages resulting from such modifications to the product.
STEP 5 - Power on your Lights
Once installed - your lights are ready for use! To power on the unit, look at the switches on the back and think of the American Flag.
